Os proxectos de Inclusión Social Activa pretenden crear unha vinculación estable entre as diferentes persoas e familias de orixe estranxeiro e o sistema de Servizos Sociais na cidade de Vigo, como base para a realización de accións encamiñadas a unha participanción activa na sociedade, mediante o desenvolvemento de itinerarios individuais e familiares.  

Na actualidade, a maior barreira para a inclusión é a cantidade de información falsa que circula arredor das posibilidades de residencia legal. En demasiadas ocasións, os proxectos migratorios están artellados arredor de información de ínfima calidade na que se combinan algunhas historias de éxito de outros paisanos, xunto coa expectativa de que as organizacións sociais poden dar resposta á maior parte das demandas das persoas inmigrantes. Por iso, o reto consiste en rachar esa dinámica e xerar lazos entre as persoas e o sistema de Servizos Sociais e os demais Servizos Públicos do Estado, en condicións de responsabilidade coa sociedade de acollida, como un paso necesario no camiño da inclusión social. 

A nosa comprensión da inclusión social activa abrangue a protección social, o acceso á vivenda, a intervención socioeducativa e sociosanitaria así como a definición dun obxectivo profesional acompañado do desenvolvemento de competencias básicas, de habilidades sociais, de competencias chave e formación para o emprego con busca activa de emprego e intermediación, en contextos de privación material, risco de exclusión social e diversidade cultural. O proxecto pretende atender de forma particular ás demandas iniciais dos solicitantes de protección internacional, teñan ou non un posterior recoñecemento como tales. 

A contribución neste contexto de todas as accións incluídas neste proxecto deben servir para promover a construción dunha sociedade na que tódalas persoas que a conforman se sintan cos mesmos dereitos e obrigas, máis alá da súa situación económica e social, na que as súas diferencias sexan respetadas e as súas necesidades básicas  estean cubertas. A inclusión só se acadará facilitando a autonomía, a autoxestión , os mecanismos para o control, por parte do propio individuo, das súas eleccións e a súa vida, apoiando dende as Administracións Públicas a tódalas persoas que teñen dificultades niso, sendo unha parte importante, a inserción laboral.
